GRAPHICS CONVERTER 3 - CONVERTING TEXTURES
This is what usually gets people. You spend hours in Photoshop making your Seer's Tunic hot pink, only to find out that it won't convert properly and can't be loaded into the game. Fear not! Follow this guide and you'll soon realize the error of your ways.
Converting a .BMP to .DDS
- Open Graphic Converter 3.
- Find the .BMP you just changed inside your Model folder. Be sure you're selecting the .BMP that you made changes to, and not the .DDS file that still contains the original information.

- Open that .BMP and it'll pop up inside a window.
- Ensuring you use the proper encoding format, choose how you want to convert it.

- After it converts with a quickness, go to File and then Save.

- Notice that the "Save as Type" box underneath the File Name is now .DDS. When you click Save, you will be overwriting the Texture file that the actual Model reads from.
- After you hit Save, you're done. Your texture is converted and ready to be imported back into a working .DAT.
Converting a .DDS to .BMP
Ok. No pictures with this one. If you can convert a .BMP properly, then it's too easy to convert a .DDS File. All you need to do is Open the .DDS file, and then choose DIB Format > 24bit. Then save. It's that easy.
"Why would I want to do this?", you might ask, "I thought you couldn't use .BMP files for your Model and they HAD to be .DDS?!?" Yeah, you're right. But, if you're an experienced Modder, you made a backup of all your files in your backup folder. That way, when your Seer's Tunic came out pastel pink instead of hot pink, but you've already overwritten the original .DDS File, you can load up your backup Seer's .DDS, convert it to .BMP, save over the ruinous pastel .BMP, and start all over.
